Volunteers Needed for Momentum

WHAT IS MOMENTUM?
Momentum is a program of dance education that uses movement, music and performance to motivate 4th grade boys and girls to strive for excellence.  In the process, these 850 children, who take weekly Momentum classes during their school day in their gyms, discover within themselves the motivation, discipline and confidence they need to be successful in all aspects of their lives.

MOMENTUM VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
MoVo’s will guide a classroom grouping of 25 children and their classroom teacher around the Capitol Theatre when they are there for two days in May rehearsing and performing. On the first day of a shift, the rehearsal day, the MoVo will familiarize themselves with provided directions as they guide their group around the theatre. On the second day of a shift, the performance day, the same MoVo will guide the same group following the same directions.
MoVo’s must be available for both days of their shift.

WHEN:
Shift One - Monday and Tuesday, May 11-12 from 8:00 A.M. until 2:30 P.M.
Shift Two – Thursday and Friday, May 14-15 from 8:00 A.M. until 2:30 P.M.
