 SPECIAL EVENTS 
Sneak PeekApril 10-12, 2014. 8:00pm, with additional 3:00pm matinee on April 12, in the Barnett Theatre, Sullivant Hall. The show features the senior projects of bachelor of fine arts (BFA) candidates, as well as works created by other undergraduate and graduate dance students. Sneak Peek will be the first dance concert in the new Barnett Theatre, a 180-seat, black-box theatre on the historic building’s third floor. Tickets are $10 general admission; $5 Ohio State faculty, staff, Alumni Association members, senior citizens, students and children. Dayton Contemporary Dance Company Presents: Synchronicity. Saturday, April 5 - Sunday, April 6, 2014. 7:30pm and 3:00pm, NCR Renaissance Auditorium, Dayton. In proud collaboration with its university partners, the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company presents a fusion of dance and live instrumentalists and singers from the University of Dayton, Central State University, and Wright State University. Along with community partners, The Khalid Moss Trio featuring Eddie Brookshire on base and Derrick Turner on drums and South Dayton Dance Theatre. Synchronicity presents on stage the dynamism of their collaborative relationships. Synchronicity, then, is a confluence in time and endeavor, whether musical, choreographic, or institutional. The last and, most crucial ingredient is you, the audience!

Professional Communications Skills Workshop. Tuesday, April 8, 2014. 6:00pm in the Student Life Multicultural Center, Ohio Union. Do you have skills and experience that no one knows about? Are you afraid of coming across too strong?  Want to establish yourself as a credible prospective employee, but don't know how to do this without coming across as a pompous egomaniac? You put your heart & soul into everything you do. You have valuable talents & capabilities. If only people could just see this! The Student Life Multicultural Center is pleased to welcome Merri Bame, from BDB Communication, for a workshop presentation that will help you to speak with confidence while maintaining your humility, and without compromising yourself. Tips and tools will be provided that will assist in developing your professional communication skills. Whether you'd like to strengthen your interview presentation skills, look more confident and credible, define your core message, or organize your thoughts, this workshop will offer you the practical skills you need to succeed in this competitive internship and job market.

Institutional Review Board Training. Tuesday, April 8, 5:30-6:30pm, 160 Jennings Hall. Are you interested in working with human subjects or their data in your research?
Do you need IRB approval? Not sure? Doing research that involves human subjects requires prior approval from an Institutional Review Board (IRB). Come learn about the approval process, and know the rules before you start!

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the inaugural Graduate Student Concert last Monday, with a special shout out to Graduate Rep and organizing force Ani Javian. The show was an exciting success and begins what will hopefully be along lasting tradition of making and showing work!
