UCAT Workshops: The University Center for the Advancement of Teaching has re-opened our search for an Assistant/Associate Director and are inviting the campus community to attend workshops presented by the candidates on teaching-related topics. Your participation and feedback will help us identify the best fit for UCAT. Upcoming workshops will be presented at the Younkin Success Center on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 2:30–3:30 pm and Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 10–11am. RSVP here.

Study Abroad
OSU students to share Music, Dance, Theatre in China. Ohio State will send 12 students to perform throughout China during the upcoming year. The endeavor will be funded by a U.S. State Department $50,000 grant, awarded to the Center of American Culture collaboratively directed by OSU and Wuhan University. Read more on the ASC website.          KUDOS & SHOUT-OUTS         

Esther Baker-Tarpaga has been awarded an Artist Residency at the prestigious Headlands Center for the Arts in Marin, California. She was selected through the Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award in Choreography, which she was awarded in 2012. She will be there for 10 weeks this summer working on several projects.

MFA Alum Daniela Wancier received her Certification in Laban Movement Analysis and worked as an adjunct at Snow College, Broward College and Nova Southeastern University, where she was named Outstanding Part-Time Faculty of the Year. She just accepted an unprecedented full-time dance position at Broward College. She is excited to pave the way for the progress and development of their dance program.

MFA Alum Alexis del Sol just accepted a position as head of the dance program at Westchester Community College. Congrats Alexis!
