Save the date! Bebe Miller: Tracing History exhibition on view at OSU Urban Arts Space from August 23 - September 29, 2012. On the occasion of 25th anniversary of her company and premiere of its first new work in nearly five years, a new exhibition will explore Bebe Miller’s history of dance innovation, from her earliest days as part of the downtown New York City contemporary dance scene to her current dual role as company leader and Ohio State faculty member. Costumes, sets, notation, rehearsal and performance documentation, music, conversations with peers, and a new installation by New York City video artist Maya Ciarrocchi take you inside her ideas and her achievements. The exhibition is curated by the Wexner Center for the Arts’ Jerry Dannemiller, through a project developed at the Institute for Curatorial Practice in Performance at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. Tracing History will illuminate and serve as a prelude for the world premiere performances of the Bebe Miller Company’s next major work, History, slated for September 27-30, 2012 at the Wexner Center for the Arts.

We need your input for INFORM, the OSU Dance Alumni Magazine. The Department of Dance would like to use photos taken during the 2011-2012 school year. We are looking for pictures of you (and other current OSU dance majors) dancing in classes, during performances, rehearsals, in and around Pomerene and Drake, and more. Photos submit to Joyelle Fobbs (fobbs.4) by May 25, 2012!
