Art Explorations Program Description
Art Explorations is a hands-on, interactive art education series designed to serve children ages 4 to 12 years old and their families. The series offers children experiences interacting with art in a gallery setting to instill a sense of art appreciation. This free family programming provides opportunities to develop a range of artistic techniques and explore current exhibits at the OSU Urban Arts Space on the second Saturday of every month. Each quarter, an OSU student chosen through an application process will create and lead a monthly education series. OSU Urban Arts Space Education staff work with the visiting student to develop and administer fun and interactive programs. Visiting students will gain experience in creating education programs and tackling the challenge of exploring gallery art with a young audience. Spring Quarter Art Explorations program dates: April 9, May 14, and June 11, 2011. For more information or to apply contact Liz Celeste at
