WEEK 8: FEBRUARY 25-29

SPECIAL EVENTS AND OPPORTUNITIES
DEPARTMENTAL INFORMANCE
It's official -this quarter, the Departmental Informance will be on THURSDAY
MARCH 6 10:30-12:00. Ballet classes are to attend the Informance that day.
All majors, graduates, minors, staff, and lecturers are invited.
This is because the OhioDance Festival will be setting up and revving up on
Friday, our usual Informance time.
And since there is a class in the theatre, we will gather in STUDIO 1!!!!!
Given the density of activities this quarter, there will be no reception
following the informance. In lieu of that the chair will be doing something
nice for everyone at the beginning of Spring Quarter.
The student reps are organizing the event, so be in touch with one of them
if you are interested in showing something.

FACILITIES
Greetings, one and all!
This message is to inform everyone that YOU (yes, you) have until the onset of
spring break to rid the Studio 6 storage closet of any items that are of
personal value. Come March 18th, any item left behind will become DUMPSTER
FOOD or THRIFT DONATION. Please rescue your trampoline, your library of aged books, your prototype projection screen, your astro turf square, your turn tables, your old-school
hair dryer, and all other various and sundry items of despair, relief, happiness, and general nostalgia.
Thanks so much!
Carrie C.

A shout out for our majors and minors who were selected for working at the new Urban Arts Space:
Sarah Gibbons, Stephanie Owens and Joanna Reed will be working the Pre-Hop Stop and picking up hours for special events. Sarah is a sophomore dance major, also pursing a business minor and a dance teaching certificate. Having worked in a dance studio in Athens, Ohio as a teacher and office assistant, Sarah hopes to eventually start her own dance nonprofit. Joanna is a freshman focusing on Dance and Art History from Salt Lake City, Utah. Joanna hopes to work after graduation developing programming for an arts institution. Stephanie is a second year industrial design student and an Evans Scholars. Originally attending OSU to study environmental engineering, Stephanie is interested in how the arts and the environment can come together ~ a natural fit for the UAS & Lazarus building.
