OSU URBAN ARTS SPACE OPENING
The Ohio State University College of the Arts is unveiling the new
OSU Urban Arts Space in downtown Columbus with a grand opening celebration Friday, February 8, 2008 5:30-8 pm
50 W Town St, in the former Lazarus building
Hosted by Karen Bell, Dean, College of the Arts.

SPEAKING OF THE URBAN ARTS SPACE... JOBS AVAILABLE
3 to 4 graduate or undergraduate students are needed to work 15 to 30 hours per week in the space. Student assistants will help with gallery reception but also assist with administrative projects. The hope is to hire students who have an interest in one or more of the following areas of focus:
- Education & Community Engagement
- Event Coordination
Projects will be developed based on the student’s interests and abilities. Unpaid internships are also available for those seeking college credit.

SYMPATICO PERCUSSION GROUP
Sympatico presents its debut performance in Weigel Hall on Tuesday,
January 22 at 8 PM. Coming together from different parts of the
U.S., the quintet features OSU percussion professors Susan Powell and
Joe Krygier along with Scott Herring (University of South Carolina),
Chris Norton (Belmont University) and Kris Keeton (Virginia
Commonwealth University). The eclectic program will highlight some
of the best works for chamber percussion written over the past 30
years with ranges in musical styles from ragtime to contemporary,
world to electronic. Tickets are only $6 for students and $12
