Senior Concert Announcements

Welcome and congratulations to Liz Goodrich, the new Senior Concert Student Coordinator.

This Week's Meeting: Friday, October 12, 2:45 in Studio 1

At the meeting, plan to share preliminary ideas for the senior concert, distribute showing and feedback dates, begin brainstorming about a concert title, and firm up the planning committee and set schedule for the year.

Hiroaki at the Dance Department

Thanks to the close to 60 students and faculty who participated in the Hiroaki Q & A session last Friday.

Barbara Thatcher from the Wex noted that Hiroaki's "straightforward answers were refreshing—his comments about creating his entire show in his head/living room were particularly germane to working as a dance artist (whether in the U.S. or Japan). Also, his coming to dance performance from photography without much formal training created another interesting point of contrast for students to ponder."

Save the date for the Jerome Bel Q&A on Nov 13th!

Gordon Gee's Visit to the Dance Department

The Dance Department received a special visit from OSU President Gordon Gee on October 2.

Dance on Camera

Thanks to Vicki Uris for curating an excellent screening for Dance on Camera on October 4th. Save the date for the next one on Thursday, October 18th!
