Reminder of upcoming opportunities:

Compagnie TchéTché will be performing at the Wexner Center on November 9-11. For students of the Department of Dance, Compagnie TchéTché members will lead an informal talk about the company's creative processes, techniques and life experiences followed by a Q&A session. This talk will take place in Studio 1 on November 8 from 4:30-6:00.

Crave more dancing? Check out the master classes at CM2. Kathleen Hermesdorf will be giving master classes there on November 11, 18 and December 2 at 11:00-12:30.

Attend William Conable's duet concert on Monday, Nov 6 at 8:00pm in Weigel Hall if you want to see the application of the Alexander Technique at its best! Professor Conable has been teaching the Alexander Technique to our dancers for years. The duo, Conable on cello and Edward Bak on piano, is scheduled to perform a program that includes Beethoven Sonata #4, Rochberg Ricordanza, Sessions Suite for solo cello and Bloch Voice in the Wilderness. Tickets are $5 for students, and $10 for general admission available at the door.

Take advantage of the FREE lecture at the Wexner Center's Film/Video Theater on Thursday, Nov 9 at 4:30-5:30. Margo Jefferson, critic for the New York Times, will be giving a lecture on Michael Jackson. Her debut book, On Michael Jackson, delves into the enigma of "The King of Pop." Within the context of his family, career and influence, Jefferson examines Michael Jackson's extraordinary musical talents and the role he has played in America's social and cultural history.


Support OSU dancers Jeff Marras, Danny Goode, Ashley Mathus, Liz Goodrich, Jessica Dibattista, Jamie Murzynowski, Jess Kehn, Laura Canzano, Sarah Barber, Dora Fenyvesi, Chris Havner and OSU alumni dancers Aaron Kint, Maggie Page, Ashley Bono, Mandy Terret and Kristen Lewis on their show PORNUCOPIA. It is a fundraiser for Aaron Kint's dance company bacKspace and SPaG (students pursuing avant garde). Purchase tickets in advance for $3.00 from Jeff Marras, Danny Goode, Ashley Mathus, Liz Goodrich or Jessica Dibattista. The show is on Nov 11 at High Five Bar and Grill (located on the corner of 5th and High) at 10:00pm.

A big congratulations to Sarah Hixon, Boris Willis and Sara Wiseman for their concert this past weekend! Congrats to all the dancers and crew, including Dave Covey, Carrie Cox, Adriana Durant, JulieAnna Facelli and Shawn Hove for making everything run so smoothly.
